Plus ça change

Western Mail Dydd Gwener Mai 7fed 1965 sydd o'm blaen heno, wedi imi glirio hen ddreiriau. Mae pennawd yn rhybuddio (a hynny ym mis Mai!) — 'University faces "digs" crisis'. 'Student welfare and advisory officers at Cardiff, Swansea and Aberystwyth are casting around for an extra 700 lodgings and flats.. . . at Cardiff, where there is also a big demand from other colleges, the student advisory officer, Mr Handel Morgan, has appealed to students who live in the city and the surrounding area to ask their parents to take a student on a paid bed-and-breakfast basis'. Ar yr un tudalen, adroddir sut y mae Ysgrifennydd Cymru, Mr James Griffiths, yn cael ei annog i apelio at y glowyr yn Ne Cymru 'not to sabotage their own industry'. Siop Tirolia yng Nghaerloyw yn hysbysebu eu End of Season Sale of Ski Wear and Equipment. C&A yn gwerthu ffrogiau Orlon ac Acrilan am 39/11. A'r colofnydd Westgate yn holi tybed a fyddai'r Tywysog Charles yn cael ei anfon i Goleg Iwerydd am sbel cyn yr 'half-expected Investiture' a oedd eto i ddod. Hysbyseb am Ddarlith Goffa Islwyn yng Nghaerdydd gyda Hugh Bevan yn traethu. Dyna drueni fod Tom Jones and the Squires ymlaen yr un noson! Cambrian Airways wrthi 'planning an all jet-propelled fleet'. I ble aeth y blynyddoedd?

Waw, diddorol! Doeddwn i ddim yn gwybod am fodolaeth Cambrian Airways - beth ddigwyddodd iddo?
